It doesn’t matter how many times you’ve practiced something, there’s always a chance of things going off track. For weeks now, I’ve been working on a new bit for my show. Hours of practicing in front of an audience and still when I go to get it on video it’s like I’ve never done it before.
In this bit, I explain to the audience the definition of balloon entertaining. The bit has a rhythm to the cadence and there are just a few keywords that I need to remember to keep the bit going.
Sometimes, but not too often, these keywords just twist themselves around and get tossed back into the cadence which now becomes an endless loop. Led Zeppelin once said in an interview, they missed out on the Immigrant song and after an extra 3-5 minutes just ended the song. This happened to me.
