Orland Hills, IL, October 29, 2008 – Aurelio’s Restaurant in Griffith, Indian will be resuming its popular kid’s night after a tornado ripped the roof off the building roof and suspending restaurant operations, and closed the dining room. On October 29, the Magical Balloon-dude Dale will be returning to entertain Aurelio’s customers with his comedic balloon entertainment from 5:30-7:30 pm. Kids under ten and accompanied by an adult will eat free.
On August 4, about 8:30 pm, a tornado ripped through the Griffith neighborhood North of Ridge Road and East of Cline Avenue. In its destructive path was Aurelio’s restaurant. The tornado damage suspended the popular kid’s night along with closing the dining room, but takeout was available weeks later.
